Aignostics Joins Techcyte Fusion® Partner Program to Bring PathoSearch to Fusion AP
PathoSearch uses embeddings from Atlas 2, Aignostics' pathology foundation model co-developed with Mayo Clinic, to compare a selected region of an H&E whole slide image with a curated, multi-center reference database of diagnosed cases, annotated and validated by pathologists. At launch, it covers more than 310,000 whole slide images from over 35,000 cases, spanning more than 300 diagnostic entities across 27 organs. For pathologists, this offers a direct way to explore comparable cases when a finding is rare or unfamiliar. For researchers, it offers a way to find cases with similar morphology across a reference set.
From the Fusion AP slide viewer, users select a region of interest within a given image, and Fusion AP captures and passes the image to PathoSearch; no export or upload is needed. Results open in Aignostics' platform, showing similar cases and their associated information. PathoSearch currently supports thoracic, digestive, soft tissue and bone, female genital, and urinary and male genital cancers, with additional malignancies planned over time.
“When a pathologist sees something that doesn't fit, the useful question is 'what else looks like this?' PathoSearch lets them ask it with the image,” said Dr. Tiffany Chen, CMO of Techcyte. “Bringing this into Fusion AP means the reference material is there at the moment it's needed, letting the pathologist focus on the judgment.”

Techcyte and Aignostics will demonstrate the integration at the 38th European Congress of Pathology, taking place September 12–16 in Stockholm. ECP attendees are invited to see the integrated workflow live at booth 539 in Hall B, and learn how PathoSearch connects with Fusion AP.
This initial integration is the first step in the companies’ collaboration. Techcyte and Aignostics plan to introduce additional integrations and capabilities within Fusion AP in the coming months.
